Corrections Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
QuantuNews aims to provide accurate and reliable coverage of gaming, artificial intelligence, PC hardware and technology.
Despite our efforts to verify information before publication, errors may occasionally occur. This Corrections Policy explains how QuantuNews reviews, corrects and updates published content.
1. Our Approach to Accuracy
Before publication, QuantuNews normally checks important information against relevant sources such as official announcements, press releases, developer or publisher statements, product pages, institutional documents and reputable publications.
When an error is identified after publication, we aim to review the information and make an appropriate correction when necessary.
2. What May Be Corrected
Corrections may be made when an article contains inaccurate or misleading factual information, including errors involving:
- Names;
- Dates;
- Release dates;
- Prices;
- Product specifications;
- Game or hardware requirements;
- Company information;
- Quotes or attribution;
- Technical information;
- Links or source references;
- Other material factual details.
Minor spelling, grammar, formatting or typographical changes may be corrected without a formal correction notice when they do not change the meaning of the article.
3. Significant Corrections
When a correction materially changes the meaning or accuracy of an article, QuantuNews will add a note explaining that the story has been corrected or updated.
A correction note includes:
- What information was incorrect;
- What was changed;
- When the correction was made;
- Additional context when necessary.
The goal is to make the corrected information clear to readers.
4. Article Updates
Not every change to an article represents a correction.
Technology and gaming news often develops after publication. Articles may therefore be updated when:
- New official information becomes available;
- A release date changes;
- A company provides additional details;
- Product specifications are updated;
- New statements or announcements provide relevant context;
- A developing story receives significant new information.
When appropriate, an article may indicate that it has been updated.
5. Rumors and Unconfirmed Information
If an article covers a rumor, leak or unconfirmed report, the information should be identified as unverified.
If the information is later confirmed, denied or substantially clarified, the article may be updated to reflect the new information.
QuantuNews aims not to present speculation as established fact.
6. Source Corrections
If a source used in an article later changes, corrects or retracts its own information, QuantuNews may review the affected article and update it accordingly.
When possible, we prioritize the most recent verified information available.
7. Headlines and Metadata
If a headline, description or other metadata becomes inaccurate or misleading because of an error or later development, it may also be corrected.
Corrections are not limited to the main body of the article.
8. Images and Captions
Image captions, credits and related descriptions may be corrected if they contain inaccurate information or attribution.
If an image is found to be misleading or inappropriate for the context of an article, it may be replaced or removed.
9. Reader Correction Requests
Readers are encouraged to contact QuantuNews if they believe an article contains a factual error.
When submitting a correction request, it is helpful to include:
- The URL of the article;
- The information believed to be incorrect;
- The correct information;
- A reliable source supporting the correction, when available.
Correction requests are reviewed before changes are made.
10. Editorial Review
A correction request does not automatically mean that an article will be changed.
QuantuNews may compare the request with official sources, press releases, reputable reporting or other relevant documentation before deciding whether a correction is necessary.
11. Removing Content
In most cases, factual errors can be addressed through corrections or updates rather than removing an entire article.
However, QuantuNews may remove, substantially rewrite or otherwise modify content when necessary because of serious accuracy issues, legal concerns, duplicated material or other significant editorial reasons.
12. Transparency
QuantuNews aims to correct meaningful errors rather than leaving information online that is known to be inaccurate.
At the same time, routine editing changes that do not affect the factual meaning of an article may be made without a public correction notice.
