Rockstar Releases New GTA 6 Trailer With Details About Jason’s Past and More Action Scenes

Rockstar Games released the launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI on Thursday, October 15. The video arrives just over a month before the game’s scheduled release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

This time, the trailer reveals more about Jason’s past in the U.S. military. The protagonist says he got into trouble during his service and didn’t leave on good terms, although he doesn’t explain exactly what happened.

Jason also mentions having difficulty getting loans, suggesting that a lack of money and opportunities may have contributed to his decision to enter a life of crime.

The video also shows Lucia wearing an electronic ankle monitor, indicating that she will remain under some form of judicial supervision for at least part of the story.

Beyond these details about the protagonists, the trailer features several action sequences, including a bank robbery, confrontations inside a helicopter, police car chases, and a scene that appears to involve a robbery carried out with helicopter support.

Rockstar has also confirmed that Jason and Lucia will become caught up in a criminal conspiracy spanning Leonida after a heist goes wrong.

The new trailer also features Flower in a Hurricane, a new track by Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
