What’s included in the limited edition and where to buy it

The limited-edition vinyl set includes two transparent magenta records with blue liquid and new artwork in the style of GTA 6. The limited-edition vinyl can only be purchased officially through the album’s official online store: official store. According to the website, shipments will begin on November 20, 2026.

The official store also carries the non-limited-edition vinyl and the CD.

Exclusive vinyl color variants featuring unique artwork will also be available through Blood Records, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, Urban Outfitters, and independent retailers. Best Buy, for example, offers a light pink vinyl version with purple splatters and a 12×24 poster, as described on the website: Best Buy.

The limited-edition vinyl is priced at US$124.98, the standard vinyl at US$49.98, and the CD at US$19.98.

The Physical Media Controversy

The option to purchase the vinyl and CD contrasts with the company’s decision to sell the game without a physical game disc. Boxed copies of Grand Theft Auto VI for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will contain a digital download code instead of a game disc.

In our view, Rockstar Games may already be laying the groundwork for the decline of physical media announced by Sony. If GTA VI were sold with a physical disc, Rockstar could eventually face a situation in which earlier copies remained disc-based while future versions or reprints moved entirely to digital distribution. Discontinuing physical copies at a later date could also turn the remaining disc-based editions into rare and highly sought-after collector’s items—a scenario Rockstar may be trying to avoid.

Sony’s decision to end physical disc production for new games released on PlayStation consoles beginning in January 2028 has sparked criticism from some players, including the creators and supporters of the Don’t Kill the Disc petition
